Magazines are shipped via the US Postal Service. Typically, it takes 6 to 12 weeks for a new subscription to start, and there are many factors that can affect that date. Depending on when your order is placed, how often the magazine publishes, and what time of the month you place your order, your first magazine could arrive sooner or later than expected. The delivery schedule of the magazine you purchased will have the biggest effect on when you receive your first issue. Magazines that are published less frequently can take longer to arrive if your order was placed soon after the last issue was mailed.
These lead times are standard across the magazine industry, regardless of where you place your order. If you place an order for a 1 year, 12 issue subscription and your start date gets delayed, you will still receive all 12 issues.
We work with your magazine's publisher to do everything possible to get your subscription started as fast as possible, but if you think you should have received your first issue already, submit a request to our customer service team and we will investigate where your first issue is!
PLEASE NOTE: The tracking information on your Barnes & Noble account may indicate that your print magazine has shipped. This means that your order was sent to our agency for processing, and not that it was shipped to you. Please reference the timeframe for delivery above, as magazine orders do not have tracking information. Issues are sent regular mail via USPS.
